In addition to UCD's recent decision be part of the Edugate pilot project, HEAnet are pleased to have the involvement of Dublin Business School in the pilot project. Their perspective as a private institution will be a valuable contribtion to the pilot project deliverables, particularly in the area of policy and federation rules.
Mimas is a large data centre in the UK who focus on the UK Higher Education, Further Education and research community with access to key data and information resources to support teaching, learning and research across a wide range of disciplines. Mimas have a number of subscribers based in Ireland, it is in this context that Mimas's involvement in the pilot project will be invaluable in shaping the federation policy, rules and technilcal specification by keeping the potential for inter-federation in mind.
